The Pedro Bencomo Cultural Chair at the University of La Laguna has organized several educational visits to archives and libraries in La Laguna. Specifically, on January 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., a visit to the Cathedral Chapter House, a repository of the diocesan past, will take place. The guided tour of the Cathedral Chapter Library will be led by Dr. Miguel Ángel Navarro, the Chapter Librarian and Head of Heritage for the Diocese.

The general objectives of these visits are:

1. To promote the knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment of the documentary and bibliographic cultural heritage of the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, declared a World Heritage Site.
2. To promote active and meaningful learning in older adults through discovery, direct experience and dialogue with the cultural environment.
3. To contribute to the comprehensive education of EUAM students through a critical and creative approach to the spaces of memory, knowledge and citizenship represented by archives and libraries.
