Jessel Ayra Plasencia is a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Unit of the University Hospital of the Canary Islands and at the ITB (Instituto Tecnológico de Barcelona). He is developing his project within the "Checkpoint of DNA Damage and Human Diseases" group, led by Dr. Veronique Smits. His studies focus on the cellular response to radiotherapy treatments delivered during the final stages of mitosis.
