The ITB 2026 Research Seminars program continues on Thursday, July 2nd at 2:00 pm with a seminar by Dr. Pablo Huertas, who will give a talk «To resect or not to resect: how cells coordinate to repair their DNA».

Pablo Huertas is a tenured professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of Seville. He leads his research group at the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER), where they study the mechanisms of double-strand break repair in DNA to understand its relationship with different pathologies, with a particular focus on breast cancer and the description of the molecular mechanisms of several rare diseases.
