This seminar focuses on the study of Executive Functions (EF), which has been fundamental to understanding cognitive control processes, especially in relation to how daily life activities are performed, although it has proven insufficient on its own to explain social behavior. Therefore, Social Cognition (SC) studies neurocognitive processes specialized in social interaction: Theory of Mind or mentalization, empathy, and perspective-taking, among others. SC becomes a necessary complement to understanding social behavior in general from a multidisciplinary perspective, generating international working environments, such as the Ibero-American Network of Social Cognition, recently inaugurated at the ULL for international study.
