The 7th International Congress of Castle Studies, under the theme "Fortifications and Defensive Systems of the Sea and Oceans", will be held in Tenerife on March 17, 18 and 19, 2027. The meeting, organized with the participation of the University of La Laguna, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Spanish Association of Friends of Castles, will bring together specialists in the study of defensive architecture and fortifications linked to the control and defense of maritime spaces, addressing this heritage reality from different perspectives and historical periods.

The congress, which is international and in-person, aims to create a space for the exchange and dissemination of research on the history, archaeology, architecture and conservation of fortified heritage.
