This visit to the Institute of Canarian Studies, organized for February 27, 2026, by the Pedro Bencomo Cultural Chair, in conjunction with the Department of Specific Didactics (Area of Didactics of Social Sciences of the Faculty of Education of the University of La Laguna), forms part of a series of visits to archives and libraries with the objectives of promoting the knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment of the documentary and bibliographic cultural heritage of the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, reflecting on the role of the library and the archive as places of cultural resistance, inclusion and hope in a world marked by misinformation and digital acceleration, and contributing to the comprehensive education of the students of the EUAM through a critical and creative approach to spaces of memory, knowledge and citizenship.

Since another of the aims of the Pedro Bencomo Cultural Chair in this activity is to establish intergenerational and institutional links with local cultural people and entities, promoting networks of collaboration and participation, anyone interested can attend, after reserving a place by writing an email to cpestano@ull.edu.es.
