The course «"Protection of children and adolescents in the sports environment» It is part of the programming of the University Extension Courses of the “Adeje Summer University 2026”, and will be held in the municipality of Adeje on July 9 and 10.

Goals:

– To raise awareness about the importance of protecting children and adolescents in the sports environment.
– To understand the conceptual and regulatory framework related to protection in sports contexts.
– Identify risk and protective factors in sports practice with minors.
– Analyze real experiences and models of good practices at the municipal and sports club level.
– To provide tools for the design and implementation of safe and protective sports environments.
– To promote critical and reflective thinking regarding professional intervention in this field.

This training is aimed at professionals in the educational, sports, and socio-educational fields who work with or collaborate with children and adolescents, especially in sports contexts. Specifically, it is geared towards teachers, sports coaches, instructors, coordinators of sports organizations, public administration staff, club and federation managers, as well as students in related fields interested in child protection in sports.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE, COMPETENCE AND RECOGNITION BY ECTS CREDIT

The University of La Laguna, through the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, will issue a certificate of attendance to all those who attend at least 80% of the scheduled class hours. Likewise, those who successfully complete the independent student work will receive a certificate of attendance and achievement, which is also recognized as an ECTS credit.
