The ICWL is an annual international conference on web-based learning, founded by the Hong Kong Web Society. The first ICWL was held in Hong Kong in 2002. Since then, the ICWL has been held in Australia (2003), China (2004, 2008, 2010, 2015), Hong Kong (2005, 2011), Malaysia (2006), the United Kingdom (2007), Germany (2009), Romania (2012), Taiwan (2013), Estonia (2014), Italy (2016), South Africa (2017), Thailand (2018), Germany (2019), China (2020), Macau (China) (2021), Spain (2022), Australia (2023), China (2024), and Hong Kong (2025). The 25th ICWL will be held from November 30 to December 3, 2026, at the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain. It will feature a technical program of peer-reviewed papers selected by the program's international committee, as well as keynote addresses by leading academics. All accepted papers are slated for publication in a dedicated ICWL volume within Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.

SETE 2026, the eleventh Annual International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education, is once again being organized this year in conjunction with the ICWL, thanks to the University of La Laguna. SETE 2026 is structured around a main section dedicated to research papers on SETE themes and a series of workshops designed to promote inclusion and diversity within the symposium's overall program. All accepted papers (from both the main section and the workshops) presented at the symposium will be published in a dedicated SETE volume within Springer's "Lecture Notes in Computer Science" series.
