The course «"Introduction to Artificial Intelligence: Concepts and Practical Applications"» It is part of the 2026 University Extension Courses program «"Connect+ Expand your Knowledge.". It will be held in an asynchronous online format between April 8 and 28.

Goals:

Learn the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.
Understanding the main models of Artificial Intelligence.
To understand the principles and potential of Artificial Intelligence.
Learn to use chat-based Generative Artificial Intelligence tools: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity.
Present applications of Artificial Intelligence in different areas: text analysis, image generation, audio generation, automation, etc.
Reflect on the ethical implications associated with the development of artificial intelligence.

The course is aimed at all those interested in learning the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and exploring useful tools in different fields.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE, COMPETENCE AND RECOGNITION BY ECTS CREDIT

The University of La Laguna, through the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, will issue a certificate of attendance to all those who participate in at least 80% of the teaching hours. Likewise, those who successfully complete the independent student work will receive a certificate of attendance and achievement, which is also recognized for one ECTS credit.
